A Journey Through the Senses with 2RidePortugal – Part 3: Valleys, Deer, and Pools in the Sky
Where Dreams and Roads Intersect
What if your journey took you beyond just roads — to places that feel lifted out of a dream? In this final chapter, we enter lush Spanish forests, swim at 1000 meters above sea level, and pass through villages that seem untouched by time. Each moment becomes a memory, and every sense is awakened.
Under Ancient Trees That Whisper History
In Spain, we crossed valleys filled with centuries-old chestnut trees, lush and green, giving me a refreshing feeling and a sense of awe knowing those trees have been alive for so long and will probably still be here long after I’m gone. I felt the importance of everything around me.
Tasting the Land, One Region at a Time
The culinary moments were always excellent choices made by Sérgio. I had the chance to try local delicacies, and without a doubt, Portugal has a diverse, rich, and incredibly tasty cuisine. Being Portuguese, I might be biased, but it’s what I truly feel.
The Power of Variety: Senses Awakened
This tour was incredibly complete, combining several aspects that I deeply value: stunning landscapes, adventure, beautiful and traditional villages in Portugal and Spain, cities with deep historical and cultural significance, amazing food, great places to stay, and of course, the pleasure of being guided by Sérgio throughout the journey. I took lots of photos and recorded many videos. This variety made the experience truly special and awakened all my senses, giving me unforgettable feelings.
Floating Above the World
One of them was being in a panoramic pool at 1000 meters of altitude — the combination of water and the vast view made me feel like I was floating.
Encounters in the Mist: Deer After Sanabria
Another unforgettable moment was encountering deer on a winding road after the Sanabria Lake in Spain. And not to drag on — since there were indeed many unique and surprising moments — I’ll just mention that after reaching mountain peaks at 2000 meters of altitude, we rode through the magical Valle del Silencio, along a road that transported us into the heart of the forest and past villages that felt like stepping into another era.
I’m grateful to 2RidePortugal and Sérgio Lopes for these days that brought me so much well-being, joy, and discovery of truly unique and magical places. Everyone should have the opportunity to experience something like this.
See you soon, Sérgio.
