Winter is coming. Three words no-one ever likes to hear, yet, they are uttered every year without fail. For our friends who find themselves ‘in the North’ at winter time, we have a solution to your winter woes. GET OUT!
What we really mean is, come and join other winter escapists and journey through Portugal enjoying the warmth of not only the weather but the people too.
This year’s Winter Escape Tours will take place from November 2023 to March 2024.
This tour is going to be the perfect winter adventure for anyone who wants to get to see the real Portugal on motorcycle. We have so many incredible roads to show you, so many delicious meals to eat and vistas to take in. We can’t wait to welcome you to Portugal for the adventures ahead. Daily ~250km. Total apx 1.700km

Day 0 - Lisbon
Everyone will arrive in Lisbon. If you’re renting a motorcycle you’ll pick up the bike and test out your gear.
Group dinner and briefing in the evening. Time to get some rest and get excited!
Day 1 - Lisbon to Evora
🏍 +/-230km
Leaving Lisbon crossing the Tejo river will head to Arrabida Nature Park,take a Troia and cross the Alentejo plains to reach Evora
Day 2 - Evora to Marvão
🏍 +/-310km
Leaving Marvão we’ll keep heading north crossing the Tejo river and entering the Muradal and Açor regions, cruising along its winding and high roads passing by the schist village of Piodão and than along the foothills of Serra da Estrela until Covilhã.
Day 3 - Marvão to Covilhã
🏍 +/-260km
Leaving Evora we’ll head to Monsaraz, going around the Alqueva lake. The winding roads of Serra d’Ossa will take us further north when we’ll head east to the border town of Elvas before we reach the final destination for the day at Marvão
Day 4 - Covilhã to Peso da Régua
🏍 +/-250km
From Covilhã we will start the day riding sightseeing the amazing roads of Serra da Estrela and visit mainland Portugal’s highest point (2000m), until we reach the Douro valley we’ll go by countless curves.
Day 5 - Peso da Régua - Figueira da Foz
🏍 +/-230km
From Peso da Régua at the hearth of Douro valley we’ll go along the winding river and than start or route to south along several mountain winding roads and high altitude views. A stop at Coimbra before we reach the coast at Figueira da Foz.
Day 6 - Figueira da Foz - Lisboa
🏍 +/-290km
Leaving the coastal town of Figueira da Foz we’ll go along the coast heading Lisbon and passing by famous Nazaré, Sintra and continental Europe most western point. We’ll finish the day off with a group dinner and debriefing.
Day 7 - Lisboa
Return of rented bikes / equipement if applicable.
Say farewell and then free to continue your travels / return home.
Leave with a big smile on your face after an incredible adventure.

I’ve been riding the roads of this beautiful country for over 25 years. What started as my hobby has become my passion and way of life. Sharing all corners of this incredible country with others is what brings me joy and doing it on motorcycle is the best way I know how.

No. You can bring it or just send it on a forwarder (we can help with that) or rent a bike of your choice at one of our recommended rent-a-bike companies. Let us know!

Only if you book the whole tour for you and your riding buddies. The scheduled tours program is mostly fixed. A bespoke tour is entirely custom. Try it!

No need to have a specific riding experience, the tour leader/guide will adapt the pace and riding to the group features. More than experience the key feature is to easily handle the daily distance and riding hours for consecutive days.
